Are you ready for a coach?
That's a good question. If you can nod your head to any of the following, you're probably ready to move forward with JOYful Coaching.
You're open to change
You've been talking about it for many years but haven't been able to follow through or what you have been doing just hasn't worked. You're ready to put your foot down and get moving in the right direction.
You're willing to be accountable
Doing it on your own has only gotten you so far and no further. Having someone to hold you accountable is the next step on your journey to self discovery and improvement.
You are ready to grow but just need help with the plan
Nothing has been working in the past and you could use a second set of eyes on your plan/ideas that will help you figure out just the right moves.
How to prepare for your Coaching session
Working with a life coach is an investment of time and money that can return amazing results. You're ready to make the changes and work towards results. While your coach will help guide you through your session, it will help if you come with the following information:
With your session only being a limited amount of time, have in mind the most important things you are looking to change or improve. Which part of your career, behaviour, relationship or life are you wanting to focus on in each session? Is there a particular stressor that you're trying to figure out? Are you overwhelmed at home and just don't know where to start?
You'll have questions for your coach that you want answered right away. Write them down so you don't forget to ask. Just remember that not everything needs to be answered instantly. Keep a running list of questions so you may find they are more fitting for a different session.
Be thinking about what you feel has been preventing your from moving on. What problems or obstacles have you noticed that have been blocking your path? Has there been something specific holding you back? Do you need help finding the solution?
What are your victories?
You've had some victories along the way. Don't forget them! Between sessions, be sure to keep a note of your progress so your coach can acknowledge and celebrate with you. Discuss the progress you're making on your action plan. What are you most proud of? What areas need more attention?
All of this information will give you a little idea of what to expect and what you can do to make the most of each session. Your sessions are about YOU and YOUR plan so it stands to reason that you'll want to be as clear as possible about what you are wanting to achieve .
